TWINSBURG -- In what Assistant Police Chief Bob Gonsiewski called "a drug deal gone bad," a 22-year-old Twinsburg man was allegedly assaulted by four other men on Jan. 24 shortly after 7 p.m. at a Darrow Park Drive residence.
Both Twinsburg police and fire were called to the scene. The Twinsburg man told police he was pulled from his vehicle as it was parked at the residence and attacked by four men. The man rang the buzzer of a nearby apartment for help, and a person in that apartment called police. The victim said he knew the identity of some of his attackers, and reported that his alleged attackers stole a baggy of marijuana from him.
"They stole his marijuana," Gonsiewski said.
The Twinsburg man sustained injuries to his face, hands and knees, and was transported by the fire department to a hospital for evaluation and released. As of press time Jan. 30 no arrests had been made and the case remained under investigation.
