TWINSBURG -- A Dooridge Drive man was arrested and charged with with two counts of assault and one one count of felonious assault in connection with a May 16 incident at a West Idlewood Drive residence.
Anthony M. Morelli, 22, was arrested May 16 after two victims say he assaulted them and a third reported that he tried to hit her with a car. His case was bound over to Summit County Court of Common Pleas May 26. A plea has not yet ben entered, according to the clerk of courts site for the county court.
An attorney for Morelli could not be reached by press time.
No injuries were reported related to the assault charges.
According to information from the Twinsburg Police Department, at just after 6:30 p.m., a Ridgewood Drive resident called police to say she saw a man and a woman arguing in a driveway across the street on West Idlewood.
Morelli allegedly left the scene in a gray Chevy, heading toward Ravenna Road. Responding officers arrived at the West Idlewood Drive address and talked to three women, who told police that the man assaulted two of them and tried to hit a third with his car.
Officers contacted Morelli by phone and he agreed to turn himself in May 16.
After his arrest, Morelli complained about chest pain and breathing problems, and was transported to University Hospitals in Twinsburg for evaluation. He was later released.
