Twinsburg High School Orchestra performs Christmas Concert

Published:

The Twinsburg High School Orchestra's hard work and preparation was displayed when they kicked off the holiday season with their Christmas Concert Dec. 11. The stage was beautifully decorated and the sounds of amazing music filled the air from the very beginning of the concert. The Twinsburg High School Chamber Orchestra started the concert off. The Chamber Orchestra did an amazing job when they played "Christmas" Concerto No. 8. They were followed by the Twinsburg High School String Orchestra who brought the audience to their feet with their rendition of The Hallelujah Chorus from "The Messiah." Finally, the Twinsburg Symphony Orchestra, which included members of the Twinsburg High School Band, concluded the concert with three wonderful holiday numbers. The concert was conducted by Damon Conn.

There are other events coming up for the students like the OMEA High School Solo and Ensemble Festival at Crestwood High School Feb. 16, 2013. Also, Feb. 22 and 23 is OMEA High School State Orchestra Contest at Brecksville High School. There will also be a Winter Benefit Concert with grades 7 through 12 on Feb. 28, 2013. See the entire calendar for the year on the Orchestra's website www.twinsburgorchestra.org.
