back-to-school book sale
The bi-monthly Friends of the Twinsburg Library book sale will be Aug. 13, just in time for the first day of school Aug. 17. Members are admitted at 9:30 a.m. and the general public can enter at 10 a.m.
Teachers, come and see what is available to add to those lesson plans. Teacher manuals will be half off. The store also stocks puzzles and games and plenty of practical things to put in a bag of tricks to supplement those plans.
The history section is a great place to start, with all books except vintage, premium and children's books half-price. Students can find copies of classics and perhaps a copy of that book that is on a supply list. Writer's manuals, dictionaries and grammar books will be available. Students can never have too many books about Shakespeare.
There are great bargains in the children's section. This month, a selection of books in Korean are available. Grownups can find novels to tuck in their book shelves to replace the beach reads. There are also biographies and mysteries available. The gift shop will be open and there will be plenty of "Friends" to help with purchases. Show support for the library, with early entry into future book sales, by becoming a Friend of the Twinsburg Library. Bring checks or cash, credit cards are not accepted. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Library and Twinsburg Public Library programs.
