These afternoons include activities for students in grades 7 through 12. "Magic The Gathering" will be Wednesdays starting Aug. 17 from 2 to 5 p.m. The "Anime Club" will be Thursdays starting Aug. 18 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. "Wii U Day" will be Tuesdays starting Aug. 23 from 2 to 5 p.m.
"Visit" Brazil to create a craft and learn about the country Aug. 20 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the library. Bring in a Brazilian dish to share along with the printed recipe. Are you from Brazil or have you been to Brazil and have something to share? Please bring it in. This is for families with children ages 5 and older.
Sensory story time is Aug. 27
An interactive program that engages children through movement, music, stories and sensory play will be Aug. 27 from 11 a.m. to noon. The program can be enjoyed by all children, but is ideal for those who have a hard time in large groups, are on the autism spectrum or have sensory integration challenges. There will be sensory and social opportunities during the second half hour of the program. Children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
Fall story times set
Registration begins Aug. 29 for fall story times. Classes begin the week of Sept. 12. The library offers sessions for a variety of age groups. For more information, stop by Children's Place, call 330-425-4268 ext. 3, or visit the events calendar on the web at www.twinsburglibrary.org.
Join in the Reading Garden Aug. 19 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. for an afternoon of tie-dye as basic white bandannas and handkerchiefs are turned into glorious explosions of color. No tie-dying experience is required and all supplies will be provided. This project will require some "at-home" finishing touches, which will be explained as part of the process. Please note: tie-dying is a messy endeavor involving permanent dyes. In the event of rain, the class will be indoors.
Zumba is Aug. 18
Enjoy a high-spirited dance workout with a certified Zumba instructor Aug. 18 from 11 a.m. to noon. Register for each session separately. A $5 fee per class is payable directly to the instructor. Please bring cash.
Speechcraft: Key to confident speaking
Join this six-week class beginning Aug. 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and grow in confidence and poise°by practicing prepared speeches and impromptu speaking. Each class is two hours, offers one-on-one coaching and is interesting and fun. The class is limited to 10 participants. The fee is $18 and must be paid one week prior to the start of the class. A guide to effective speaking is included in the fee. Make checks out to Dennis Deegan and deliver them to the Twinsburg Public Library.

The art gallery and large display cases are featuring artwork by Maureen Farley. Hand-decorated eggs created by Sandy Steiger can be seen in the small display cases.
