Murder mystery is Sept. 30

at Twinhaven

The Foundation of the Twinsburg Public Library will present "Speak Easy of Murder," a murder mystery party at Twinhaven Reception Hall, next to Ss. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church at 10419 Ravenna Road, Sept. 30 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Raffles and a silent auction fundraiser will offer fabulous trips.

A "Roaring 20's" attire is welcome for this event. Tickets are available through Sept. 23 or until they sell out (125 total). Call 330-425-4268 ext. 2 for more information. The show will be performed by the Murder and Merriment Interactive Murder Mystery Theatre Troupe.

Take a computer class

- Introduction to the Internet for Seniors will be Sept. 8 at 2 p.m.

- Excel 2016: Part 1 will be Sept. 13 at 2 p.m.

- Internet: Beyond the Basics for Seniors will be Sept. 15 at 2 p.m.

Fall story times set

Registration has begun for fall story times. Classes begin the week of Sept. 12. The library offers sessions for a variety of age groups. For more information, stop by Children's Place, call 330-425-4268 ext. 3, or visit the events calendar on the web at www.twinsburglibrary.org.

Paws to Read

Drop in to read to one of Twinsburg Public Library's special workers, therapy dogs, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No advanced registration is required. This is for independent readers ages 4 and older.

Children's sign

language set

Finger spelling and sign language will be taught through the use of songs, games, crafts and storytelling, Mondays Sept. 12 through Oct. 31. A session for ages 4 years through second grade will be from 5:30 to 6 p.m., and a session for grades three through six will be from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Students will be able to sign the alphabet along with words and simple sentences.

Learn baby signs

Baby sign language is about using simple gestures with babies and toddlers that allow parents and caregivers to communicate with them long before they have begun speaking. This class on Thursdays from 6 to 6:30 p.m. from Sept. 15 through Nov. 3 is for birth to 36 months.

Adult Services:

Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold is perfect for older adults who want a lower-intensity class that is taught by a certified Zumba instructor. The classes will run Wednesdays through Oct. 26 from 10 to 11 a.m. Take one class or all. There is a $5 cash fee per class payable to the instructor.

War & Remembrance series


Johnnie Downs is a veteran of the Vietnam War, and he will speak at the library Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to noon. He served in combat as a member of the famed "Buffalo Soldiers" and is a recipient of the Bronze Star. Sgt. Downs retired after more than 30 years in the U.S. Army.
