Murder mystery

is Sept. 30

The Foundation of the Twinsburg Public Library will present "Speak Easy of Murder," a murder mystery party at Twinhaven Reception Hall, next to Ss. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church at 10419 Ravenna Road, Sept. 30 from 6 to 9:30 p.m. A silent auction fundraiser will offer chances to win autographed sheet music by Adele and the Eagles; and autographed albums by Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and more. Bid on trips to a Colorado microbrew; a Savannah get-away; and a Tuscan truffle hunt in Italy. "Roaring 20's" attire is welcome. Tickets are available through Sept. 23 or until they sell out (125 total). Call 330-425-4268 ext. 2 for more information. The show will be performed by the Murder and Merriment Interactive Murder Mystery Theatre Troupe.

Take a computer class

language set

Finger spelling and sign language will be taught through the use of songs, games, crafts and storytelling, Mondays through Oct. 31. A session for ages 4 years through second grade will be from 5:30 to 6 p.m., and a session for grades three through six will be from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Students will be able to sign the alphabet along with words and simple sentences.

Learn baby signs

Baby sign language is about using simple gestures with babies and toddlers that allow parents and caregivers to communicate with them long before they have begun speaking. This class, for birth to 36 months, is on Thursdays from 6 to 6:30 p.m. from Sept. 15 through Nov. 3.

Tiger Travels

to Spain

"Visit" Spain to learn about the country and create a craft, Sept. 17 from 2 to 3 p.m. Try to bring a Spanish dish to share. Are you Spanish or have you been to Spain and have something to show? All related items are welcome. This is for families with children ages 5 years and older.

SAT, ACT strategy session set

Learn all there is to know about the SAT and ACT exams at this strategy session, Sept. 20 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Meet a Princeton Review expert who will go over test content, walk students through sample questions and demonstrate score-raising strategies to use on test day. This is for teens in grades 9 through 12 and their parents. Register through the Princeton Review website.

Adult Services:

Zumba Gold

Zumba Gold is perfect for older adults who want a lower-intensity class that is taught by a certified Zumba instructor. The classes will run Wednesdays through Oct. 26 from 10 to 11 a.m. Take one class or all. There is a $5 cash fee per class payable to the instructor.

War & Remembrance series

Johnnie Downs is a veteran of the Vietnam War, and he will speak at the library Sept. 17 from 11 a.m. to noon. He served in combat as a member of the famed "Buffalo Soldiers" and is a recipient of the Bronze Star. Sgt. Downs retired after more than 30 years in the U.S. Army.

Upcycle CDs into picture frames

Ever wonder what to do with those old, scratched, worn-out CDs that have been replaced with digital music? Turn them into sparkly picture frames, perfect for capturing those favorite memories. "Upcycle It!" will be Sept. 23 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the library.
