Northfield -- In celebration of Make a Difference Day, the Twinsburg and Nordonia Hills high school PTSAs will host a second-annual "Fill the Bus" campaign to benefit The Emergency Assistance Center of Northfield.

Community support is needed to help fill a Twinsburg and a Nordonia Hills school bus with non-perishable food items.

Collection bins will be set up at schools in both districts for through Oct. 21. Students, staff and the two communities are asked to leave non-perishable food items in any of these bins.

The collection drive will conclude at the Twinsburg Tigers vs. Nordonia Knights football game Oct. 21 at Nordonia, where each school will have a district school bus at the game to collect the week's donations, plus those additional donations brought to the game.

The Dolphin Family Restaurant in Northfield Village will also join the efforts this year as a community partner and a donation drop-off location.

Make a Difference Day, the fourth Saturday of every October, is a day when millions of volunteers around the world unite in a common mission to improve the lives of others.
