Youth Services: Reading is Wild

Join for Reading is Wild April 22 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Twinsburg Public Library. Calling all 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten participants and those who wish to be: The library will celebrate progress with a fabulous animal show by Our Zoo to You. This is for children ages birth to 5 years with a caregiver.

Guyku:Poetry for Boys

Join for an hour of "Guyku," boyhood-inspired Haiku, Aril 23 from 2 to 3 p.m. Learn about this short poetry format and have fun creating unique poems. Each boy will take home a writing journal. There will be prizes and the library will display all of the poems. This is for boys ages 9 to 12 years.

DIY toddlerfun is April 27

Learn to make modeling dough, finger paint and more at DIY toddler fun, April 27 from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Be sure to wear clothes that can get messy. This is for children ages birth to 3 years with a caregiver.

War series features WWII veteran

World War II veteran Stanley Wolczyk will share his experience as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the battle of Attu, also known as the Forgotten Battle, as the War and Remembrance series continues April 22 from 11 a.m. to noon. His riveting story highlights the only invasion on U.S. soil during WWII. He will also discuss his life after the war, including his encounter with a young G.I. by the name of Elvis Presley.

Spend Monday Night at the Oscars

Watch a 2016 Oscar-nominated movie with library friends at "Monday Night at The Oscars," April 24 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Admission, popcorn and lemonade are free. Refreshments will be served 10 minutes prior to show time. The movie starts promptly at 6 p.m.
