VFW hosts proper flag disposal

Twinsburg VFW Post 4929 will conduct its annual ceremony for proper retirement of American flags at Glenn Chamberlin Park, April 29 at noon. Any American flag that needs to be disposed of due to its condition can be dropped off anytime at the Twinsburg VFW post, 9825 Ravenna Road.

TOPS meets atTwinsburg library

TOPS Club Inc. is a non-profit, non-commercial support and accountability group for individuals interested in losing weight and maintaining their weight loss for a lifetime. There are TOPS Chapters in and around Summit and Portage County including Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Green, Macedonia, Norton, Sagamore Hills and Twinsburg.

In addition to various locations around Akron, area meetings are at the following locations and times: Twinsburg Public Library, 10050 Ravenna Road each Thursday at 5:45 p.m. for weigh-in, 6:15 p.m. for program; Elmcroft of Sagamore Hills, 997 W Aurora Road, each Wednesday at 6 p.m. for weigh-in, 6:30 p.m. for program; St Andrew the Apostle, 4022 Johnson Road, Norton each Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. for weigh-in, 9:30 a.m. for program; Green United Methodist Church, 2161 Greensburg Road each Thursday at 5:45 p.m. for weigh-in, 6:30 p.m. for program; Macedonia City Hall, 9691 Valley View Road each Thursday at 5:30 p.m. for weigh-in, 6 p.m. for program; or Cuyahoga Falls at United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Dr. each Thursday at 8:15 a.m. for weigh-in, 9:30 a.m. for program or Northminister Presbyterian Church, 104 Portage Trail Ext. W. each Monday at 6:30 p.m. for weigh-in, 7:05 p.m. for program.

There is an annual fee of $32 with nominal weekly dues.
