Julie Chase and the Fuzzy Feline Fair

Have some fun with the author of the new cozy adult mystery, "Cat Got Your Cash," May 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will be activities for all ages. Enjoy pet-themed refreshments, create cat crafts and even read to a cat. Buy a book and have it signed.

Youth Services: Volunteer training sessions set

Students entering grades 9 through 12 can earn their community service hours at the library during these volunteer training sessions. Volunteers must attend one of the following training sessions before they may begin. Volunteer opportunities include assisting with Summer Reading Club in the Children's Room. Sessions will be:

- May 8 and 15, 7 to 8 p.m.

- May 10 and 17, 7 to 8 p.m.

- May 11 and 18, 7 to 8 p.m.

- May 13 and 20, 4 to 5 p.m.

Paws to Read

Drop in to read to one of Twinsburg Public Library's special workers, therapy dogs, May 13 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No advanced registration is required. This is for independent readers ages 4 years and older.

Thursday afternoon resume help is now available at the library in the computer lab. Stop in or call 330-425-4268 ext. 4 to make a Thursday afternoon appointment with an expert.

Real Estate program May 6

Real Estate for those older than 50 years will be May 6 from 10 to 11 a.m. and address how Medicare affects choices; when family should be involved in decision making; options for when an owner becomes incompetent to make decisions; and information about reverse mortgages.

Real Estate Basics: Buying a Home 101

This class on the basics of buying a home will be May 3 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.; and May 6 from 11 a.m. to noon. The class will discuss the process of buying a home and how it differs for first-time buyers, seasoned buyers and investors. Come with questions.

What's Trending: Smart homes

Your phone is smart, but did you know your home can be, too? Learn about controlling electronic devices with smart devices such as Amazon's Alexa and apps using your smartphone at this program, May 9 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Picnics with a kick

The summer is upon us and that means BBQ's and outdoor parties. This May 15, 6:30 to 8 p.m. class will show people how to find decorating inspiration and instructions for making unique party favors, place settings and games online and at the library. Participants will get a head start on their parties by learning how to make a nifty favor during class.

Closed for Mom

The Twinsburg Public Library will be closed May 14 for Mother's Day.
