The Twinsburg City School District announces the launch of an online system for new student registration and for returning students' annual update of information, powered by InfoSnap.
The system is a secure site which allows parents to complete many paper forms online and diminishes the need to rewrite redundant information on multiple forms.
Parents new to the district can enter registration and enrollment information and schedule an appointment online. Parents with children returning for the new school year can update information currently on file with the school district.
Some items available for update include phone numbers; email addresses; guardianship information; emergency contacts; medical information; and transportation information. In addition, parents can review and provide consent for a variety of school-related items that were previously included in student packets at the beginning of the school year.
These include the Acceptable Use Policy; School Handbooks; FERPA form; and Free and Reduced Lunch Application, to name a few.
The district is hopeful that parents will appreciate the time savings gained from entering information once for their family, rather than completing multiple forms for each child.
In addition, this online system is extremely secure, with parents submitting their children's school information using personalized InfoSnap codes.
InfoSnap moves data gathering into the digital age and will provide significant cost savings for the school district. Using this process will reduce paper and postage costs and eliminate much of the manual data entry previously completed by school personnel.
InfoSnap will also improve the accuracy of student information.
In early August, instruction letters will be mailed to families with children in the Twinsburg City School District. An online form must be submitted for each child in a family, so letters will be issued for each child.
Letters will include a secure "Snapcode" that links directly to a child's information. InfoSnap will provide the option to copy family information and emergency contacts to each child in a family.
To transition to this new process, the Twinsburg City School District requests that families submit the requested information as soon as possible after receiving the letter in August, with a requested completion date of Aug. 17.
