Attention dads:

Adventure Guides sought

The Nordonia Hills YMCA's Adventure Guides is seeking new dads and their children to join the organization. Adventure Guides (formerly Indian Guides and Princesses) offers busy fathers a chance to make memories with sons and daughters while also giving children a chance to form new friendships.

Additionally, Adventure Guides offers a low-cost, low-time commitment alternative. Member "circles" meet once a month during the school year for fun activities such as bowling, sled riding, swimming or watching a Nordonia Knights football game.

The three main events during the year include a Pinewood Derby competition and two cabin-based weekend camping trips at YMCA camps that include archery, rock wall climbing, and horseback riding.

The Adventure Guides will host a recruitment event Sept. 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Nordonia Hills YMCA Pavilion. Contact the YMCA for details at 330-467-8366 ext. 1.
