Rubber City Shakespeare Company announces the first show of the 2016-17 season, William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," directed by Producing Artistic Director Dane CT Leasure.
This witty comedy is the perfect kick-off for Rubber City Shakespeare Company's fourth season. Set in modern times, but staying true to Shakespeare's language, this production has something for theatregoers of all ages.
The production will be the first that Rubber City Shakespeare Company performs in a new home this season, The Well CDC. The Well is at 647 East Market Street (Akron locals will recognize it as the old First Presbyterian Church).
The production opens Aug. 12, with Rubber City Shakespeare Company's traditional Pay-As-You-Like-It performance.
A Midsummer Night's Dream runs Thursday through Sunday until Aug. 28. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performances begin at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at rubbercityshakes.com/tickets or at the door one hour prior to show time.
