The Akron Zoo will host its annual Breakfast with the Bunny event on April 1, 2, 8, 9 and 15 starting at 8:30 a.m. The event includes a full breakfast buffet, a visit from the Easter Bunny and an outdoor egg hunt. Reservations are required and space is limited. Admission to the zoo for the rest of the day starting at 10 a.m. is also included.
Breakfast with the Bunny takes place in the zoo's Komodo Kingdom Education Center. Upon arriving at the zoo, guests will enjoy a full breakfast buffet and visit with the Easter Bunny. At 9:30 a.m. kids are invited to participate in an outdoor egg hunt. Every child that participates in the hunt will receive a goodie bag. The egg hunt for kids up to age 5 will be held in Legends of the Wild and the egg hunt for kids ages 6 and up will be in Grizzly Ridge.
Reservations can be made online at www.akronzoo.org, in person at the zoo or by calling 330-375-2550. Prices for this special program are $16 for Akron Zoo member adults, $23 for Akron Zoo member children, $24 for non-member adults and $29 for non-member children.
The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Winter hours, through March, are 11 a.m. 4 p.m. and admission is $7 per person. The parking fee is $3. Starting April 1, hours are 10 a.m. 5 p.m. and admission is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and $9 for children 2-14. Kids under 2 are free and parking is $3.
