Twinsburg Township has open board, commission, committee seats

Twinsburg Township -- The Board of the Twinsburg Township Trustees invites applications from township residents for the following open board, commission and committee seats, beginning Jan. 1, 2013.

n Zoning Commission member: 5-year term ending Dec. 31, 2017, one position available- salary is $40 per meeting attended (2012 rate)-

n Zoning Commission alternate: 1-year term ending Dec. 31, 2013, two positions available- salary is $40 per meeting attended (2012 rate);

n Board of Zoning Appeals member: 5-year term end Dec. 31, 2017, one position available; salary is $40 per meeting attended (2012 rate);

n Board of Zoning Appeals alternate: 1-year term ending Dec. 31, 2013, two positions available; salary is $40 per meeting attended (2012 rate);

n Joint Economic Development District Board of Directors member: 1-year term ending Dec. 31, 2013, three positions available; all volunteer positions;

n Joint Economic Development District Board of Directors alternate: 1-year term ending Dec. 31, 2013, one position available; volunteer position;

n Ad Hoc Safety Committee member (if continued in 2013): 1-year term ending Dec. 31, 2013, undetermined number of positions available; salary is $40 per meeting attended (2012 rate);

n Tax Incentive Review Council member: 1-year term ending Dec. 31, 2013, two positions available; both volunteer positions; and

n Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council member: 3-year term with varied ending dates, multiple positions available; all volunteer positions.

Township residents are asked to submit a simple application form, available on the township website at www.twinsburgtwp.com, under document library, forms and administration; and at Township Hall, 1790 Enterprise Parkway, Twinsburg 44087.

Applications may be submitted through Dec. 14 either in person at Township Hall or during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; via fax to 330-963-6816; or via email to info@twinsburgtwp.com.

Officials with expiring terms are welcome, but not obligated, to seek reapportionment to continue in their positions.

The Board will attempt to make their selections by its Dec. 19 regular Board of Trustee meeting, and reserves the right to reject any and all applications.
