Twinsburg -- It may no longer be quite so difficult to get your children to go to the dentist, at least at the spacious new office of one local doctor.
Dr. Laura Adelman, who has practiced pediatric dentistry in Twinsburg for seven years, recently moved her practice to a new facility at 9964 Vail Drive. Though right across the street from her old office, Adelman said the new building is triple the size, with around 4,500 square feet of treatment and reception space. The new facility also boasts a bright, inviting decoration scheme.
"It's a very light, happy environment," Adelman said. "Plus, there's more waiting room space, there's more education space, there's the opportunity to be closer to your children when we're doing treatment."
With her new facility, Adelman and her staff can treat around 8 patients per hour, offering cleaning, sealing and light pre-orthodontic work. Adelman employs a team of 12, including hygienists, receptionists, dental assistance and community outreach staff.
"I have a fabulous team," Adelman said. "We're strong from the bottom up and from the top down. It's a privilege to be here, I'm very humbled. The people here are genuine, salt of the earth. They're a really family-oriented community and we feel very at home here."
Mayor Katherine Procop, who cut the ribbon at the new facility Jan. 18, said the location will benefit Adelman's practice and city at large.
"We're just delighted to have Dr. Laura here and it's a beautiful facility, it's kid-friendly and parent-friendly ... and a great location," Procop said. "We wish them great success here. I know that it's going to be a good move for Dr. Laura."
