Solon -- Solon police are still looking for "a younger white male with tattoos on his right arm" who reportedly yelled at an 8-year-old girl to "get in his car" in a Solon neighborhood Aug. 2.

Police have determined that a second incident that occurred in the Thornbury Estates area Aug. 14 is unrelated to the Aug. 2 incident, and the subject in the Aug. 14 incident has been cleared of any wrong doing.

"The driver of the truck from Aug. 14 was here on legitimate business," according to a Solon Police Department release.

According to police, the suspect in the Aug. 2 incident was driving a small, black pickup truck on McDowell Drive around 7:30 p.m. when he allegedly yelled at an 8-year-old girl, who had been dropped off at the mailbox by her father to get the mail.

As the father pulled into the garage and exited the vehicle, he reported hearing the suspect scream something and saw his daughter running up the driveway. The girl told police that the suspect said "get in the car."

Anyone with information about this should contact Solon Det. Thomas Terwilliger at 440-337-1460.
