Two people are in custody in Monday's armed robbery of Panera Bread in Twinsburg.
Corey Johnson, 26, of Warrensville Heights, is charged with one count of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony.
D'Jaye Quinae Reddrick, 18, of Streetsboro, is charged with complicity to commit aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony.
Twinsburg Assistant Police Chief Bob Gonsiewski said a Panera employee described seeing three African-American men standing together outside the back door of Panera, 8928 Darrow Road, while she was disposing of garbage just before 9:30 p.m.
One of the men approached the employee, brandished a gun and forced her back inside the store, Gonsiewski said.
Once in the office, the suspect ordered the employee to open the safe, then fled on foot with about $3,500, Gonsiewski said.
Reddrick was placed under arrest around 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Twinsburg Police Department. Twinsburg detectives found Johnson at his residence in Warrensville Heights at about 5 p.m. and arrested him without incident. Police said Reddrick and Johnson are being held in the Solon City Jail pending video arraignment in Stow Municipal Court this morning. The investigation remains active.
