Youth Services: Reading is dreamy

Kids still have time to be part of the Winter Reading Club now through March 3. Stop in, sign up and check out great books. This is for babies and children through sixth grade.

Friday morning movie and craft

Join for a craft and a PG rated movie Dec. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No registration is required. Feel free to bring a snack and blankets to sit on. This is for all ages with a caregiver.

Introduction to Spanish I

Join for this introduction to Spanish, Tuesdays Jan. 3 through Feb. 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each night. This six-week class is for new speakers and is taught by a Kent State University instructor. There is a $10 non-refundable fee.

Back up holiday photos

Make sure all those photos taken over the holidays don't get lost at this program, Jan. 4 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Learn how to transfer photos and videos from a smartphone or tablet to a computer, external device or the cloud.

Ebooks, audiobooks and movies

Learn how to download and stream eBooks, music, movies and audiobooks to a smartphone or tablet at this program, Jan. 5 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The library has lots of apps that allow you, with your Twinsburg Public Library Card, to get all this content in just a few steps. Bring your own device to follow along with the class.

50 Book

Challenge Party

The 50 Book Challenge welcomes Penguin Random House Publishing representative Amanda Fensch Jan. 7 from 2 to 3 p.m. for a presentation on the hot new books coming out in 2017. Challengers who completed 50 books in 2016 will receive prizes. Everyone is invited to hear the talk, enjoy refreshments and be entered to win prizes, including advanced reader copies of titles to be published in 2017.

On display ...

The art gallery and large display cases are featuring photography and poetry by David Painter. The small display cases have costume exhibits from the Twinsburg Community Theatre's upcoming The Little Mermaid in January 2017.

The Twinsburg Public Library will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
