TWINSBURG -- There is an open position on The Board of Trustees at the Twinsburg Public Library for the residents of Twinsburg Township.

This term will start in early 2017 and completes the final three years of an unexpired term of Twinsburg Township resident Carrie Hinton, who served the library and the community for 25 years and passed away in late 2016.

According to the by-laws of the Board of Trustees: "The Board of Trustees is composed of seven members and there shall be at least one member from each of the three communities served by the library district."

Ms. Hinton was the sole township resident on the Board. As a result, the Board of Trustees is accepting applications for the open position from residents of Twinsburg Township.

Service on the Board of Trustees is voluntary and without compensation. Trustees are appointed by the Twinsburg City School District Board of Education upon recommendation by the library's Board of Trustees. Trustees serve a 7-year term, or less, if completing an unexpired term.
