TWINSBURG -- No injuries were reported in a Feb. 7 fire at an Enterprise Parkway industrial business that drew four departments to the scene.
According to firefighters, at around 4 p.m. the Twinsburg Fire Department received a report of a fire at Maval Industries, said Fire Capt. Mick Hobart. Hudson EMS and fire departments from Reminderville and Macedonia also responded.
Hobart said the fire was extinguished "in about 15 or 20 minutes" and was "confined to the paint booths," however smoke and heat damage was reported through much of the building. He added this was "a significant fire." The scene was cleared around 6:30 p.m.
It was not immediately clear how many employees were inside the business when the fire began. The fire remains under investigation, Hobart said.
Capt. Don Simon said Feb. 13 that monetary damages are still being calculated but are estimated at about $250,000.
According to its website, Maval Industries specializes in remanufactured products such as power racks and pinion systems, as well as producing steering systems.
