1 Learn about school finances,upcoming levy

The Twinsburg City School District will host the third of three forums on school finances April 20 at 6 p.m. at Twinsburg High School.

Superintendent Kathryn Powers and Treasurer Martin Aho will present information, followed by an opportunity for audience members to ask questions. More information is also available at www.twinsburgk12.oh.us as well as the website.

 

2 Celebrate Earth Day in Liberty Park

From exercise, to geology, to natural science, local residents are invited to celebrate Earth Day at the Liberty Park Nature Center, 9999 Liberty Road in Twinsburg from noon to 4 p.m.

Earth Day marks a time to appreciate nature and offer a renewed dedication toward protection of the environment.

Throughout the day, explore the Liberty Park Nature Center and related Earth Day exhibits; discover exciting features of the Ledges area; learn about both invasive and native plants; and check-out the electric and hybrid car display and the Summit County Humane Society's new Mobile Adoption Center.

The event is being presented jointly by the cit of Twinsburg and Summit Metro Parks.

 

3 Earth Daycontinued: Pollinators and invasive plants

 

Featuring a panel of speakers who are experts in their respective fields, the Twinsburg Garden Club, in cooperation with the Twinsburg Parks and Recreation Department, will present "Native Plants: Gardening with a Purpose" at the Twinsburg Community Center April 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The city and gardening club are featuring the event as a second, extended Earth Day celebration.

 

4 Show stopping performers, one final time

Get your tickets now for the final performances of the 2016-17 Twinsburg show choirs, including the RBC Singers, Mood Swingers and Great Expectations Show Choirs, set to take the stage at the Twinsburg High School auditorium April 21 and 22 at 7 p.m. each night.

5 Cheer on the Tiger softball team

The Twinsburg Tiger varsity softball team will take on Saint Vincent-Saint Mary April 19 at 4:30 p.m. at Twinsburg High School.

The team has had a wet beginning to the year, but the players, and weather, are rounding into form.
