SOLON -- The city of Solon and the Solon Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint to get impaired drivers off the road May 26. The checkpoint this evening will be on SOM Center Road (Route 91) in front of Marc's in Solon.
Such checkpoints encourage safe and responsible driving and create a safer environment for the motoring public, according to police. It is the hope of the Solon Police Department that everyone has a happy and safe weekend.
Solon police say that if you are going to consume alcohol, use a designated driver; call a cab; or stay at a motel or a friend's or relative's home.
