After nearly two decades of use, the Twinsburg Fire Department donated its old propane fueled fire extinguisher trainer to Linde Gas of Twinsburg. After the department replaced the trainer with newer hi-tech digital-laser equipment, they had no use for the equipment and had it declared as surplus property by council measure.

Since Linde Gas donated the propane for the classes over those many years, the fire department decided to donate the equipment to the Twinsburg facility, where it will be utilized to train Linde employees across the region.

The Twinsburg Fire Prevention staff delivered the equipment to the Linde facility on June 12 and also presented them with a plaque, showing appreciation for their partnership over the years. It is estimated that the old trainer was used to teach several thousand Twinsburg workers the safe operation of fire extinguishers and because of Linde's generosity, the city saved thousands of dollars in propane costs.
