TWINSBURG -- The popular annual reading of the Declaration of Independence will be this Fourth of July at 2 p.m. at Twinsburg Township Square.

Elected officials will each read a part of the Declaration, including State Rep. Kristina Roegener; Twinsburg City School District Board of Education member Matt Cellura; Summit County Councilor Gloria Rodgers; Summit County Educational Service Center Board member Bill Roemer; Twinsburg Township Trustee Jim Balogh; Court of Common Pleas Jill Flagg Lanzinger; and Twinsburg Mayor Ted Yates.

Giving his perspective on the time and events leading up to the signing will be Samuel Adams, a.k.a. Tom Niewulis, who is known at the "Father of the American Revolution" and a drafter of the Articles of Confederation.

"This look into events that started the United States of America is a must-see," said Twinsburg resident Steve Murphy, event coordinator. "We encourage everyone to attend and bring the entire family."

Ice cream will be served after the reading.
