Twinsburg -- Officers responded to a Chestnut Trail home Feb. 11 for a report of two men fighting in the driveway. Police say one of the men, a 40-year-old Squires Court man, tried to flee in a vehicle, but was apprehended on Glenwood Drive by police who were en route. He was charged with assault and driving under suspension. The other man was not charged. No injuries were reported. The Squires Court man was given a court date of Feb. 14 at Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court and released from Twinsburg Jail after paying $50 of a cash bond. Assault Feb. 14: Pet owner assaulted -- A Richner Court woman told police she was hit in the face by an unidentified man while she let her dog inside her home. No injuries were reported. She stated it was the third time she had been attacked at her home in the past 10 days, with different unidentified suspects involved. The case is pending. Theft Feb. 12: Car radio face plate stolen -- A Ravenna Road woman told police her radio's $200 face plate was stolen from her unlocked car in the parking lot of her apartment complex. Feb. 9: Gas theft reported -- An officer responded to a local gas station for a report of gas theft of $42.36. The cashier saw the suspect while he was pumping the gas, but the man fled before police arrived. The case is pending. Feb. 7: Gas theft reported -- An officer responded to a local gas station for a report that an unknown amount of gas was stolen. The manager gave police a description of a possible suspect. Feb. 16: Woman allegedly caught with drugs -- An Aurora Road gas station clerk called police for a report of a 34-year-old Aurora Road woman disturbing customers. When an officer asked for the woman's identification, the officer noticed a suspected marijuana glass pipe in her purse. The officer searched her purse and found a plastic medical syringe, four suspected heroin rocks and a pipe with suspected drug residue. She was charged with fourth-degree felony drug possession, fourth-degree misdemeanor drug possession and first-degree misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession and transported to Summit County Jail. Feb. 13: Speeding warrant served -- After responding to a broken-down vehicle on Cannon Road, an officer discovered the 22-year-old Pebble Creek Drive male driver was driving with a suspended license and had a speeding warrant issued by Macedonia police. The man was arrested and transported to the Macedonia police department. The vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver.
