Twinsburg -- Two drivers were charged with theft March 18 after an Aurora Road gas station manager reported they stole more than $80 in gasoline.

The station manager reported that two vehicles pulled up to gas pumps, and the drivers, both 20-year-old Aurora men, appeared to know each other, according to the manager.

Both suspects pumped their gas and then drove off at the same time without paying. One suspect stole $47.17 worth of gas and the second suspect stole $36.01 worth.

Security cameras could only clearly show the license plate of one vehicle, according to police. After an investigation, the officer was able to locate the two suspects in the afternoon.

Both were charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft and were given a court date of March 25.

March 16: Car equipment theft -- A Bedford Heights man reported his unlocked car was broken into at a Presidential Parkway home.

The man stated someone removed his $160 CD player face plate, his $300 MP3 music player and his $20 MP3 music player adapter.

Warrant

March 14: Active warrant -- An officer ran a random check on an Ohio license plate of a vehicle, and the police database showed the registered owner of the vehicle had an active warrant through the Portage County Sheriff's Office for receiving stolen property.

The officer reported that the driver, a 20-year-old Aurora man, matched the physical description of the suspect. After stopping the vehicle, the man identified himself as the suspect.

Twinsburg police placed the man under arrest, he was transported to TPD jail and later released to the PCSO.

March 18: DUS warrant -- During a traffic stop at a Darrow Road gas station, a 23-year-old Cleveland woman was found to have an active warrant through Brookpark Police Department for driving under suspension, a first-degree misdemeanor.

The deputy placed the woman under arrest and transported her to the BPD.
