I am writing in regards to an incident that happened March 29 at a gas station in Twinsburg. I needed gasoline and I wanted to get my car washed. I passed up two neighboring gas stations, even though their prices were at $3.09 per gallon and the station I wanted to attend was $3.17 per gallon. I really like the car wash at the first station so I decided to pay the extra money for its car wash, but I wouldn't fill my tank until I could go to the station where I could use my gas card. I made a trip out to Ravenna and was gone about three hours. When I came back through Twinsburg, would you believe the price at the first station had dropped to $3.07 a gallon? I do not believe that within three hours that the gasoline stored in the tanks had depreciated in value. It leads me to think that all the stations watch to see what the price of the day will be, then hurry to change their prices to be competitive, that it really has nothing to do with the price of oil. I am very frustrated, but it was that station's loss. Instead of filling my tank up that day, I drove off with $10 worth of gasoline. It is time for the American people to stand up to the oil giants and demand lower prices, or at least the government should not allow them to change prices on a whim. I also have driven by stations and the prices are at one price and within two hours time, they have gone up as much as 10 cents a gallon. Donna Everett Twinsburg Comments
