AMATS group to meet at Twinsburg library

The Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study has scheduled three meetings during April to receive public input regarding the development of "Transportation Outlook," an update of the area's 2030 regional plan.

Issues to be discussed include public transportation, repairing existing roads, widening roads, bicycling and pedestrian-related issues. A discussion of these topics will be preceded by a brief presentation on growth and development trends in the region. Comments received will help the agency to develop future plans for the region.

Each meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be: April 17 at the Highland Square Branch Library, at 807 West Market Street in Akron; April 23 at the Twinsburg Public Library, at 10050 Ravenna Road in Twinsburg; and April 24 at the Kent Free Library, at 312 West Main Street in Kent.

For more information, contact AMATS Transportation Planning Administrator Jason Segedy at 330-375-2436.
