Twinsburg -- An East Aurora Road store manager reported April 1 that on March 29 at 4 a.m. an unidentified man walked into the store and went behind the register counter. He loaded up a dolly with $7,675 worth of cigarettes, took them out of the store, loaded them in a vehicle and drove away. Store employees were present at the time of the theft, and no one was injured. The manager provided police with surveillance video of a suspect, and the case is being investigated. -- Twinsburg -- Property damage April 10: Damaged car -- A Cannon Road woman reported someone had damaged her car and property inside the car. The value of the damage was unspecified. The car was parked in her driveway. There are no suspects. Theft April 7: Gas theft -- A Case Parkway business manager reported that on April 5 around 9 p.m., a semi-truck cab pulled next to one of their delivery trucks, siphoned diesel fuel from the truck's tanks and drove off. The value of the stolen fuel was unspecified. There are no suspects. April 4: License plate thief -- A Gary Drive woman reported someone removed the rear license plate of her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway April 3 to 4. Warrant April 7: Speeder had warrant -- After conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 480 for speeding, an officer discovered the 25-year-old Streetsboro woman driving the vehicle had failed to reinstate her license after a drug conviction suspension and had an active warrant through Streetsboro police for failing to appear in court. She posted a $500 bond, was released to Streetsboro police and given an April 15 court date at Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court. April 4: DUI and warrant -- An officer was dispatched to Darrow Road and Interstate 480 for a report of an erratic driver. An officer located the vehicle traveling southbound near a Darrow Road shopping plaza committing turn signal violations. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the driver, a 52-year-old Macedonia woman, and after she failed a breathalyzer test she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. The woman also was charged with having two active warrants with the Garfield Heights Police Department for failure to appear in court. After the woman posted bond with Twinsburg police, she was released to Garfield Heights police. April 4: Gas station stop -- An officer conducted a traffic stop at a Hadden Road gas station and identified the driver as a 49-year-old Cleveland man who had an active warrant and a suspended license with the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office. He was arrested and given an April 15 court date at Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court. Underage prohibitions April 4: Riding under the influence -- An officer conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 480 and discovered the passenger, a 20-year-old Ravenna man, was allegedly intoxicated. He was given an April 11 court date to appear at Cuyahoga Falls Municipal Court for underage prohibitions. -- Twinsburg Township -- Theft April 12: Car thief -- A Solon man reported that his two vehicles, which he parked outside of his Eton Street property, were stolen sometime between April 10 and 12.
