Summit County Republicans need to stand united against those whom I believe would destroy the Republican Party and the balance of power in our county. The truth has come out. Summit County Board of Elections member Wayne Jones recommended the Ohio Secretary of State put Donald Varian on the Board. If we do not stop them, I believe Jones and Sen. Kevin Coughlin will take over the Summit County Republican Party and one Akron law firm will control the Summit County election process and the Board of Elections. I believe Jones has wanted to take over Cuyahoga Falls since he ran for mayor years ago. Now I think he has duped Coughlin into doing his bidding. It is unfortunate that a number of loyal Republicans have been caught up in Coughlin's plan to take over the party. The truth is now out. It is not too late to stop Jones/Coughlin. Every elected precinct committee person needs to review the facts and see who is really behind Coughlin's plans to take over the Republican Party. We cannot let one party, one group of people, or one law firm control both political parties in Summit County, and I believe that is what will happen if the Jones/Coughlin team get their way. If loyal Republicans will stand firm, we will keep control of our party. If not, next year's Lincoln Day Dinner will be changed to the Jones/Coughlin Day Dinner. Ed Davidian Cuyahoga Falls Comments
