Obituary: Esther Alma Morton

Twinsburg piano instructor

Esther Alma Morton, 84, of Twinsburg, died April 2, 2008, at Grande Village Manor after an extended illness.

Mrs. Morton is survived by her husband of 59 years, Leland Morton; daughter Bonnie (David) Cook; sons Herb (Jacque) Morton and George (Karol) Morton of Texas. She is the grandmother of six and great-grandmother of six.

Funeral services were conducted in Kingwood, Texas, on April 5. With burial Houston National Cemetery on April 7. A memorial service was conducted on April 16 at Parkside Church in Chagrin Fall, where Mrs. Morton was actively involved in the XYZ fellowship and prayer ministry. Originally from Oklahoma, Mrs. Morton and her husband moved to Twinsburg in 1996. She will be remembered as an encouraging high school teacher and private piano instructor. She also was a gifted seamstress and needlecraft enthusiast.
