R.B. Chamberlin Middle School Orchestra students on April 5 participated in the District Six O.M.E.A Solo and Ensemble event at Barberton High School.

Solo and ensemble provides each student an opportunity to perform before a judge and receive comments with a tiered rating system.

Congratulations to the following orchestra students who performed at the Solo and Ensemble Contest:

Receiving a "Superior" rating on a solo were: Delaney Jones, violin; Krista Sandercock, violin; Nick Fondale, viola; Nick Bartulovic, violin; Victoria Denker, cello; Stephen Vernyi, cello; Alex Keller, cello; E. J. Sieradzki, viola; Sarah Chapman, cello; and Amber McKissic, violin.

Receiving an "Excellent" rating on a solo were: Nikhil Goel, violin; Jessica Onion, violin; Saeed Khoncarly, violin; Brian Cleveland, cello; Anthony Pietrantozzi, cello; Frances Oduwole, string bass; Shirley Eisenberger, viola; Joshua Ishihara, string bass; Frank Lu, piano; and Kelly Storc, piano.

Received a "Superior" rating on an ensemble were: Alex Keller and Victoria Denker, cello duet; Krista Sandercock and Jessica Onion, violin duet; Nick Bartulovic, Frank Lu, E. J. Sieradzki and Anthony Pietrantozzi, string quartet; Jalynn Theobalds, Jennifer Cull, Shirley Eisenberger, Stephen Vernyi and Frances Oduwole, string quintet; and Krista Sandercock, Amber McKissic, Nick Fondale, Sarah Chapman and Robert Hoyt, string quintet.

Receiving an "Excellent" rating on an ensemble were: Nikhil Goel and Matt Onion, violin-bass duet; and Kelly Storc and Delaney Jones, violin duet.

Special recognition goes to Breannin Greene, Saeed Khoncarley and Robert Hoyt for their efforts.

Congratulations to all of these orchestra students for these honors.
