Labry places second
Twinsburg resident Michael Labry recently placed second in a national tournament in Columbus called The Tournament of Champions.
This event is the largest one-day tournament in the county. There were more than 2,300 wrestlers competing this past weekend from all over the United States.
Labry, an eighth-grade student, competed in the 105-pound weight class and was the only wrestler from Ohio to place at that weight class.
Duo leads CVCA
The host Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy baseball team won a 13-6 decision over Principals Athletic Conference rival Manchester April 28.
Twinsburg resident Andrew Peterson had two singles and scored two runs for CVCA (10-4, 5-1).
CVCA posted a commanding 17-1 victory over Medina Highland April 26 on its home field.
Kyle Gerycz (2-1) of Twinsburg got the win on the mound for CVCA (9-4).
