Residents run in race

The following Twinsburg residents competed in the Hermes Cleveland Fleet Feet 10-Miler April 26:

Female (age 35 through 39): Joann Pavlovcak, 36, first, 70th overall, 1 hour, 12 minutes, 55.3 seconds

Male (25-29): Ben Kuhlman, 27, 53rd, 470th, 1:33.24.75; and Michael Marom, 25, 811th, 2:28.26.35

Male (35-39): Gregory Christopher, 35, ninth, 84th, 1:13.56.7; and Ted Yates, 39, 10th, 85th, 1:13.56.8; and Jon May, 39, 46th, 394th, 1:30.26.9

Male (40-44): Joe Zeitz, 40, 34th, 325th, 1:27.11.75; Chris Jenson, 44, 36th, 335th, 1:27.34.8; Chuck Viers, 44, 51st, 471st, 1:33.34.9; and Anthony Siracusa, 40, 59th, 673rd, 1:45.13.15

Athletes fare well

Several Twinsburg residents compete in the Hermes Cleveland 5K race April 26.

Female (age 16 through 19): Kaleigh Stanley, 18, first, 35th overall, 24 minutes, 26.15 seconds

Female (40-44): Jackie Pangonis, 40, second, 109th, 30:50.3

Female (55-59): Marilyn Iwan, 58, first, 103rd, 30:15.95

Male (16-19): Andrew Whitney, 18, third, 11th, 21:44.75; and Mark Kalina, 18, fourth, 16th, 22:44.5

Male (25-29): Twinsburg head boys tennis coach Michael Porinchak, 27, eighth, 31st, 24:01.95

Male (45-49): Timothy Whitney, 46, second, sixth, 20:52.1

Posk wins state title

Twinsburg resident Madison Posk earned the title as state champion for the floor exercise and bars competition for the 10-year-old Level 5 Division April 12 in Lima.

Madison scored a 9.375 on her floor routine and a 9.325 on the bars. She had a 9.05 on the vault, earning second place and her beam routine she earned an 8.875. She had a personal-best all around score of 36.625 to place second.

Madison is a fourth-grade student at Dodge elementary and trains at Gym World in Broadview Heights.

She practices at least 14 hours a week.

Soccer camp scheduled

Former professional soccer player Otto Orf and his staff, which includes former professional players, are accepting athletes, age 4 through 18, to participate in a summer camp at Liberty Park July 14-18. For details, visit www.HandsOnSoccer.com.

Duo runs in Boston

Twinsburg residents Ron D'Isidoro and John L. Kelly competed in the 112th Boston Marathon April 21.

D'Isidoro, 46, finished 9,632nd with a time of 3 hours, 25 minutes, 45 seconds. Kelly, 46, placed 9,897th (3:37.13).

Bell finishes 11th

Twinsburg resident Robert Bell, 49, finished 11th in the male 45-through-49 age group and 96th overall with a time of 26 minutes, 38.3 seconds at the Run for your Life April 12 at the Berea Fairgrounds.

Zeitz finishes 15th

Twinsburg resident Joe Zeitz, 40, finished 15th in the men's 36-through-40 age group and 117th overall with a time of 24 minutes, 36.8 seconds in the Old Oak Run 5K race April 19 in Middleburg Heights.
