A Twinsburg man and a Brook Park woman are listed in critical condition after they were involved in a motorcycle accident Sept. 24 in Montville Township in Medina County. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Michael Nader, 23, who was operating the motorcycle, and Alicia Long, 21, Nader's passenger, were ejected from the motorcycle when Nader failed to negotiate a turn. Both were flown to Akron General Medical Center with head injuries, where they were listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit as of Sept. 30. During a police pursuit covering about four miles, state troopers said they witnessed three motorcycles speeding southbound on I-71 and exit onto state Route 18 shortly after midnight. Patrol officers said two of the motorcycles continued west on Route 18 as Nader's motorcycle turned south on River Styx Road police pursued Nader's motorcycle. Not far down the road, patrol officers, who were several yards behind the motorcycle, said Nader failed to negotiate a turn, lost control of the bike, and both he and Long were ejected from the motorcycle. Troopers said the two motorcyclists who continued west on Route 18 were not located. The crash remains under investigation. -- Compiled
