Chamber sponsors mini-health fair April 16
An April 16 mini-health fair will be from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn and include free screenings (blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose) and showcase representatives of health related industries, starting at 10:30 a.m. Registration begins at 11:15 a.m. and the program runs from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. After enjoying a sit-down lunch at the Hilton, attendees will hear from a panel of health and wellness experts, facilitated by David Pauer, manager of employee wellness at the Cleveland Clinic.
The panel will provide perspectives on wellness and treatment, as well as discuss how each can make a difference in individuals' daily lives and work environments. They will further address how employers and employees alike can become more involved in health and wellness.
Panelists will include Dr. Sherif Salama, MD; Dr. Ashwin Pai Dhungat, MD, South Pointe Hospital; Dr. Brian Kessler, DO, Twinsburg Medical Center; and Dr. Paul Bizjak, Family Chiropractic Center.
Members pay $20 and non-members pay $25 for the luncheon. Reservations are required by April 10 and can be made by calling 330-963-6249. E-mail emurch@twinsburgchamber.com for more information.
Dix to speak at Kent Chamber luncheon
Andrew Dix, president of Record Publishing Co.'s Internet Division, will be the featured guest speaker at the Kent Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon April 9. Dix will speak on Internet marketing and publishing.
This month's luncheon will be at Twin Lakes Country Club near Tallmadge and will be sponsored by Portage Marble and Granite.
Networking begins at 11:30 a.m. with lunch and the presentation starting at noon.
Cost to attend is $15 for members and guests and $20 for prospective members.
