The visiting Twinsburg girls basketball team rolled to a 79-59 victory over Northeast Ohio Conference Valley Division rival Hudson Feb. 6 at Ray "Buck" Hyser Gymnasium.
The Lady Explorers rallied from a 15-point first-half deficit to cut the Lady Tigers' lead to two (53-51) late in the third quarter, but Twinsburg (16-1) scored the last four points of the period and took command in the final eight minutes.
Lady Tigers' center Malina Howard led all players with 31 points, 15 rebounds and three blocked shots. Hillary Southworth and Jennifer Mohney, who left the game in the second half with an injury, added 16 and 11 points, respectively, for Twinsburg.
Jessica Monsman paced the Lady Explorers (12-5) with 22 points and Christie Wade and Laura Mummey added 11 and nine points, respectively.
