Sanctuary is spot for regional conference

The Sanctuary of Praise at 8788 Hadden Road will host the "Two-day Midwest Regional Conference" on Nov. 16 and 17. The theme will be "Embracing the Power to Become." The guest speaker on Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. is Bishop Dr. Henry B. Alexander. On Nov. 17, Alexander will present a Bible training and discussion seminar from 10 a.m. to noon.

The community also welcome to participate in the new Christian education and training classes, being conducted every Sunday morning at the church. Altar prayer is at 9:30 a.m., and sessions are from 10 to 11 a.m.

Finally, Joseph's Kitchen Food Pantry Outreach will distribute food on Nov. 20 from 6 to 7 p.m.

Learn about
the Middle East

A conference focusing on the Middle East crisis will be Nov. 17 and 18 at Hope Community Church, 3033 Middleton Road in Hudson. The guest speaker will be Dr. Jimmy DeYoung, a noted speaker on Biblical prophecy in the U.S., Europe and South America. He is the author of the best-selling book "Sound the Trumpets" and can be heard regularly on "Prime Time America."

DeYoung took up residency in Jerusalem three days prior to the Gulf War in 1991. He weathered 39 SCUD attacks while reporting nationwide during the Gulf War. DeYoung compares events in the Middle East to the prophetic truth of God's Word.

The first session will be Nov. 17 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. It continues Nov. 18 at 9:30 and 11 a.m. A separate message will be given during each service relevant to the current Middle East events. The fourth and last session will be Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. and will include a question and answer period.

Life Church
sets schedule

The Rev. Paul Waickman will share a series on worship throughout November. Adult Sunday school, which starts at 9:30 am, is an in-depth survey of the New Testament. Sunday worship service begins at 10:45 a.m. in the lower level of the Nye Financial Group building, 7941 Ravenna Road in Hudson. Children's classes and nursery care are available.

Women invited for
book discussion

Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church of Twinsburg invites ladies 18 and older to join Nov. 15 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Twinsburg Public Library in Meeting Room 1.

There, they will discuss Elizabeth George's book, "A Woman After God's Own Heart" and talk about prayer. Books will be provided.

New adult study
group offered

Solon Community Church will begin a new Fall study group -- open to the public -- based on a workbook called "Beatitudes" by Maxie Dunham and Kimberly Dunnam Reisman. This study will be broken down into two sections, on Nov. 25, and Dec. 3 and then, four weeks in January.

Single Moms
care group meets

Single Moms, a weekly care group for single mothers of any age or circumstance, will meet Nov. 15 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Parkside Church in Room 224.

Materials and childcare are provided. Single Moms extends a network of friendship and gives practical assistance to women who face the challenge of raising children by themselves.
