Ann Marie (nee Hughes) Zietlow, 70, of Twinsburg, died March 19, 2008, at her home in Twinsburg.

Mrs. Zietlow worked for many years as a customer service representative for a gas company, and was also known as newspaper columnist "Gabby Annie." Her column was published in the Twinsburg Bulletin and News Leader. In addition, Mrs. Zietlow enjoyed volunteering and helping people, often giving freely of her time and talents. She was involved in the local Relay For Life campaign, and worked as a poll worker and on the U.S. Census.

She was the daughter of the late Robert Hughes and the late Anna (nee Cooper) Hughes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Zietlow, in 2003.

Mrs. Zietlow is survived by her four daughters, Linda (Xavier Gonzalez) Zietlow of Seattle, Wash., Terri (Steve) Shimensky of Kent, Karen Basinger of Twinsburg and Beth (Julio) Zietlow-DeJesus of Cleveland; son David (Ellen) Zietlow of Twinsburg; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was the aunt and guardian of Bob McLaughlin, Michael (Allison) Parsons, Scott (Pam) Parsons and the late Patricia Hall. She is the sister of James, Sheila, Michael, John, Robert, Kevin, Tim and the late Kathleen, Theresa and Jane; and sister-in-law of Carol (Daniel) Balint and many others.

Arrangements were handled by the Johnson-Romito Funeral Home at 99 W. Aurora Road in Northfield, where the family received friends March 23 and 24. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Church March 25, 2008, with the Rev. John Singler officiating. Interment was at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield.
