Allergy group hosts concert and expo

A local non-profit organization dedicated to educating families and helping fund research to find cures for food allergies, Families with Food Allergies, will conduct two events to raise money in support of that mission this spring and summer.

There will be a Food Allergy Concert and Expo at Twinsburg High School, at 10084 Ravenna Road, May 27 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Event coordinators say the concert and exposition will allow children and families to learn more about FWFA resources, including their food allergy workshops, label education, food allergy cooking course, in-service training, support group meetings and "lunch and learn" sessions.

At the event, Kyle Dine will deliver an interactive performance focusing on allergy issues.

Tickets for the concert and expo can be purchased by calling 330-405-8708. Adults are $10, children younger than 17 years are $5 and infants through 18 months are free. Special group pricing is available.

Golf outing to raise funds for allergy research

On July 12, FWFA will sponsor a golf outing at Grantwood Golf Course, at 3885 Aurora Road in Solon. Deadline to register for the outing is June 30. A discounted price for team membership is available if registration is made before May 10.

The outing will include lunch, golf, dinner, raffles and prizes.

For pricing information, brochures and to sign up, contact Families with Food Allergies at P.O. Box 185, 1320 East Highland Road, Macedonia 44056, call 330-405-8708 or e-mail FWFA@roadrunner.com. Faxes can be sent to 330-425-1646.
