Relay For Life consists of teams sponsored locally by residents and businesses; cancer survivors, their friends and family members will take turns walking or running laps during the event. Each team will try to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. Team members will camp out at the event site and can participate in activities such as karaoke, bingo, a cornhole tournament and a kid's pajama dance party. Live music, special themed hours and other fun activities are planned to keep the teams moving throughout the night. The event will conclude with a closing ceremony at noon the following day. A community challenge has been issued in celebration of Relay For Life's 25th Anniversary residents are asked to donate $25 if they can, walk 25 laps around the track or just come and enjoy the opening ceremony festivities, learn more about the event and show support in the fight against this life threatening disease.
