Joan M. Holler (nee Schaming), longtime resident of Twinsburg passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at age 87.
Joan was born at home to Walter and Susan (Bauer) Schaming in Bradford, PA. She was the fourth of nine children. After graduating from St. Bernard's in 1947, she moved to Cleveland, OH where she began work as a legal secretary. There she met her future husband. Joan and Myers Bowen Holler were married August 29, 1953 in Cleveland, OH. They moved to Twinsburg, OH in 1956 and raised a family of five children. She was a charter member of Ss. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Myers Bowen Holler, siblings Kay Foster, George Schaming and Imelda Luethy. She is survived by her children, Joe (Jackie) Holler, Sandy (Jeff) Olsenholler, Jeff (Chris) Holler, Pat (Eileen) Holler, Larry (Eva) Holler; six grandchildren, Jenn Holler, Myers Holler Jr, Lauren Holler, Brian Holler, Eric Holler, Audrey Holler; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Patty) Schaming, Bernard (Betsy) Schaming; sisters, Mary Lou (Tom) Sowers, Suzanne Healy, Bernadine (Frank) McCusker; sister-in-law, Joyce Schaming and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received 4-8 PM Friday at JOHNSON-ROMITO FUNERAL HOME, 9819 DARROW ROAD (CORNER OF RT.91 AND POST ROAD), TWINSBURG, OH (330) 425-2244. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Ss. Cosmas & Damian Catholic Church, 10439 Ravenna Road, Twinsburg, OH 44087. EVERYONE IS ASKED TO MEET AT CHURCH.
