Needless to say, it was very traumatic for my wife and I, but these officers were very compassionate and kind. They talked with us, calmed us down and were sympathetic and sensitive to our feelings.

It didn't make the pain any less, but as we think about the events of that evening, we know in our hearts that it would have been so much worse had it not been for these wonderful men who represent our city's police department and their concern for our welfare.

Thank you for your service, and may God bless and protect you as you so willingly protect us.

Roy A. Meier, Twinsburg
