Peace can be attained by accepting first Christmas gift, Jesus

War and terror, dissention and disagreement. Struggles at home, struggles abroad, struggles within, and peace a dream. Is this your perspective this Christmas? The truth of the situation is this, "For a child will be born to us His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" {Isaiah 9:6}. But, if this person was really born, and is real, where is the peace?

If there is an all powerful God then why is there not peace, all the time? Choice. It would not be free will if choices were void of consequences. So, people made a wrong choice, and continue to, and we are all paying for decisions with pain.

However, this Prince of Peace is capable and willing to give His peace to us for nothing. God gave us the ultimate gift, His Son, "for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." {Luke 2:11.} Because Christ was born into this world, died and resurrected, He brings a gift of salvation to all who believe.

The peace we crave is not something attainable with money, or through things. If we accept God's gift, we can attain a peace that gets us through difficult times. And our earthly end will even be peace.

Unfortunately, culture has been flooded with a mentality which demands reality adjust to us. People reject this gift because they do not want to change their life because it does not line up with God's plan. Does anyone understand what they are not choosing when they reject God's gift? No, they do not.

Yes, there will be death. Yes, there will be pain and suffering. But if you would have real peace you will need to accept the first Christmas gift, Jesus.
