Grant to help non-profits purchase AED device

The Summit County Safety Council is offering a grant for non-profit organizations in Summit County to purchase an automatic external defibrillator. To qualify, the non-profit must complete an application and submit it to the Safety Council Board. Details are on the Summit County Safety Council's website at www.thesummitcountysafetycouncil.org. The grant application must be received by March 31.

Nominate a 'safety citizen of year'

The Summit County Safety Council is accepting nominations for Safety Citizen of the Year. Nominees must be actively involved in safety and accident prevention. Nominees must live, work or be active in Summit County and have at least five years history in safety-related activity, including volunteer work.

To nominate someone, visit the Safety Council website at www.thesummitcountysafetycouncil.org. Names must be submitted by March 29. The individual will be recognized at the awards banquet luncheon April 17.
