The Summit County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Summit County Adult Probation Department and Ohio Adult Parole Authority, recently conducted address verifications of registered sex offenders who reside in Summit County.
More than 150 residences were checked during the one-day operation. The investigation revealed that four offenders of those 150 checked had moved and failed to report their changes of address.
They have not yet been charged for the failure to register their changes of address and are not yet being identified, said SCSO Det. Bill Holland.
Other offenders still require further investigation, according to police.
The SCSO on a continuing basis locates and validates the residencies of the more than 1,000 registered sex offenders in Summit County.
