Pawsibilities will have a ball Sept. 17

Pawsibilities, Humane Society of Greater Akron based in Twinsburg, will host its 16th annual gala Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn. The fundraiser will benefit animals awaiting adoption at Pawsibilities, a caretaker and advocate for abused, neglected and abandoned animals in Summit County.

Guests can enjoy an elegant evening with silent and live auctions hosted by Brooks Ames of Kiko Auctions; a wine pull; a hole-in-one contest; a gift bag pull; cocktails; hors d'oeuvres; gourmet dinner; and an adoptable animal showcase. The evening's hosts will be Beth McLeod from WOIO Cleveland Channel 19; and her husband, Fred McLeod, play-by-play television sportscaster for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This year's ball will honor 2016 "Animal Heroes" Ron and Dawn Hartman, as well as Turfscape, Inc., for their continued commitment to helping animals in need. Tickets are available through Sept. 7. Full table reservations and event sponsorships are also available. More information can be found at www.summithumane.org. Ticket reservations can be purchased online or by calling 330-487-0333 ext. 239.
