Boy Scout troops host spring events

TWINSBURG -- Two local Boy Scout troops have upcoming fundraisers in May. Twinsburg Boy Scout 223 will host its annual pasta dinner, set for May 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at Ss. Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church. Carry out is available. Adults are $9, and children and seniors are $6. Ss.

Scrap tires to be collected in Summit County April 29

A scrap tire collection event will be April 29 at ReWorks' Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center located at 1201 Graham Road in Stow from 9 to 11 a.m. Summit County residents are invited to drop off unwanted passenger car and light truck sized tires for a cash fee of only $1 per tire.

Barn sale is April 29 at the historical society

The Twinsburg Historical Society will host a barn sale April 29. In addition to clearing out many treasures, donated items will also be sold. There is great work going on at the Twinsburg Historical Society, with restoration and repairs on the buildings that hold the city's history.

TWINSBURG -- The 18th-annual Coffee for a Cause has seen another success, raising $1,368 to benefit Aluminum Cans for Burned Children. Twenty-two acts -- comprising 32 talented teens -- took the stage April 8 at the Twinsburg Public Library to the delight of about 225 attendees.
